Rainwater Collection System

Using rainwater can reduce your water bill by up to 50%

50% of water usage in the household is used for bathing, personal hygiene and drinking purposes!
The remaining 50% is used for flushing toilets, washing clothes and outside purposes! For more details on statistics, check our Domestic Water Consumption page.

The rainwater system is a self-contained water supply system that collects and stores rainwater for use in the household. Our system collects and stores rainwater for use in the household.

Our system collects rainwater from the roof area and filters out leaves, debris, particles and stores the filtered water out of sight in an underground rainwater tank. This filtered rainwater is then pumped back through to the house for flushing toilets, washing clothes and outdoor purposes such as watering the garden and washing the car!

In the event of a dry spell of weather and therefore a lack of rainwater being harvested which will mean the rainwater collection tank getting low, the system will automatically switch to the mains water supply! It will then subsequently switch back to the rainwater harvesting system for the home once there is sufficient water in the rainwater tank!

Since rainwater is naturally “soft water“, it is ideal for washing machines and flushing toilets which therefore preventing lime-scale build-up.
